The Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB) recognizes the importance of its members¡¯ personal information. As such, we are instituting the following protection policies outlined below. The personal information protection policies of KCAB may change periodically due to changes in government laws and the rules of KCAB, so we hope that you check in at our website from time to time. |

A. Personal Information Items Collected by KCAB and Collection Methods |

Information collected through e-mail and web forms |
| Users can indicate their intentions through mail, telephone, or the website of KCAB. We would like to inform you of several matters that need to be heeded with these selection methods. Recorded matters may be used for the execution of related laws and materials of policy development. Also, this type of information can be held jointly with other associated organizations or, depending on the need, provided to them. |

Required information for membership and electronic document service |
For those who wish to gain membership, make inquiries, or write on the message boards, KCAB, with the consent of the user, collects the minimum amount of personal information needed.
The following personal information items are collected:
- Homepage Membership: ID, name, birthdate, e-mail address, home address, phone number, cellphone number, and newsletter preferences
- Making Inquiries: name, e-mail address, etc.
- Writing on Message Board: name, e-mail address, etc. |

B. Purpose of Usage of Personal Information |
| Most of the services offered through the homepage of KCAB can be used any time without membership entry. However, in order to provide better quality service commencing with MyPage and customized services we are collecting the personal information of users. In addition, to reduce irresponsible, defamatory or slanderous written messages and promote the reception of users¡¯ opinions, we may ask for the real names of users who write on the message boards. |

C. Accessing, Amending, and Deleting Personal Information |
Those who have membership status that intend to share or amend their personal information, except for their names or ID, may do so by just clicking on My Page> Information Amendment. In addition, if you contact the person in charge by phone or e-mail and your identity is confirmed we will arrange, without delay, for you to do so.
If a representative for a user visits and requests to access or amend the information some form of proof showing the relationship between the user and representative may be requested. If you request to amend an error in your personal information, your personal information will not be used or provided until the amendment is completed.
Members at any time may withdraw contents that they have consented to for the provision, usage, and collection of personal information acquired through membership. Membership withdrawal can be done by clicking on MyPage>Membership Withdrawal or contacting the manager of personal information by phone or e-mail and after your identity is confirmed necessary arrangements will be made immediately. |

D. Retention and Usage Period of Personal Information |
KCAB will continually retain your personal information and provide services while you, as a member, are using the service provided by KCAB. Simply stated, if a member directly deletes or amends information or requests to be withdrawn as a member, the information on the disk will be completely erased so that afterward access or usage of the material will be impossible.
Personal information obtained for temporary purposes (such as events) is rendered irretrievable by the same method mentioned above after the aim has been achieved. As a general rule, KCAB destroys personal information after its purpose for collection has been achieved.

E. Safeguarding Measures for Personal Information |
At KCAB we are providing the following technological measures in order to safeguard the personal information of members so that it is not lost, stolen, disclosed, forged, or damaged.
KCAB is protecting thoroughly the information of members by passwords. Users themselves directly control confirmation and amendment of information. Therefore you should never give anyone your password. KCAB does not inquire about user IDs or passwords of members by phone or e-mail. We at KCAB encourage you, after using a computer, to logout online and close the browser. It is especially vital for people who use a computer jointly or use a computer in a public place(school, library, Internet cafe, etc,) to observe the abovementioned procedures to prevent the leak of information to other people.
At KCAB we do our best to prevent the outflow of and damage of members¡¯ personal information caused by hacking or computer viruses. To prevent the loss or damage of personal information backups are done on a regular basis. In addition, the personal information and materials of members are securely saved in a database using encryption. We strive to implement all technological devices and means to ensure the safety of the system.
The handling of personal information at KCAB is limited to the person in charge and for this a separate password is renewed and granted on a regular basis. We always stress the observance of protection policies for personal information by giving periodic training to the person in charge of personal information.

F. Sharing and Provision of Collected Personal Information |
When you click on a link or banner within a webpage operated by KCAB and go to another site or webpage please check the policies of the new site you are visiting as the personal information protection policies of the site run by that organization shall apply.
The website run by KCAB never acquires e-mail addresses or other distinguishable personal information. Those who access or provide this kind of personal information by other dishonest means face punishment in accordance with article 23(governing law for personal information protection of public organizations).
In spite of Clause 1, if KCAB intends to use the personal information or provide it to a third party beyond the scope notified or stated plainly in the personal information protection policies, a notice is sent to the member concerned by e-mail or through the website to seek consent. In this case, any member can refuse to allow the usage of personal information that goes beyond the scope of what is notified or clearly indicated or the provision of information to a third party.

G. Outsourcing of Personal Information |
In order to improve services KCAB may entrust users¡¯ personal information with an outsourcing company. If personal information is to be entrusted with another company, a notice stating such will be give in advance. In addition, instructions regarding the strict observance of personal information protection, maintenance of privacy concerning personal information, prohibition of releasing personal information to third parties and responsibility in the event of accident will be clearly stipulated through an outsourcing contract and the contents of the contract will be in writing or stored electronically. |

H. Special Measures Regarding Juveniles |
KCAB does not allow minors under the age of 14 to gain membership. |

I. Revision of Personal Information Protection Policies |
The contents of the personal information protection policies may be amended in order provide better service and reflect amendments to the rules and guidelines of the government. At the time of amendment we will send a notice informing you of the changes. When articles related to the stipulation of personal information protection are revised an official announcement 7 days prior to the effective date of the amendment is made. |
